Spotlight on Our Executive Director, Erin Katerynych

Born and raised in the Battlefords, Erin has dedicated her life to supporting our community. Her journey with the Battlefords District Food & Resource Centre also known as Empty Stocking Fund. began in 2004, when she first joined as a temporary manager while attending university. By 2006, she became the permanent manager, and in 2015, she stepped into her current role as Executive Director.

For over two decades, Erin has been at the forefront of the fight against food insecurity, leading with compassion and determination. This year, Erin proudly represented our Centre in securing a $10,000 donation through 100 Who Care and celebrated receiving the 30th BBEX Award for Community Impact.

With her guidance, our Garden Project continues to thrive providing fresh, nutritious produce to share with our community.
