The Battlefords District Food & Resource Centre (also known as The Empty Stocking Fund Inc.) is a non-profit organization that exists in partnership with the community to provide food and other services, with the aim of alleviating poverty in the Battlefords. We serve our community through a variety of programs focused on food access, support services, and resource distribution.

We envision a community where there is an equitable distribution of community resources to meet the needs of children, families, and individuals.

Our History
Founded in the 1950s, the Battlefords Empty Stocking Fund (ESF) emerged as a beacon of hope for families facing hardships during the festive season. Over the decades,this initiative has blossomed into a registered charity, extending its reach far beyond Christmas, to establish the Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre (BDFRC).
