Loraas Launches the 2025 Business Food Drive to Support Battlefords Families

Loraas is proud to launch the 2025 Business Food Drive in partnership with the Battlefords District Food & Resource Centre and the Battlefords Empty Stocking Fund. Each year, local businesses come together to support families who rely on community assistance during the holiday season.

This year’s goal is to collect 10,000 pounds of non-perishable food items to help fill hampers and bring comfort to households across the Battlefords.

One of the highlights of the event is the return of Santa’s sleigh, a Loraas collection truck decorated for the holidays. On December 18, Santa and the Loraas team will make special stops at participating businesses to pick up donated items. It’s a fun and festive way to celebrate the season—businesses are encouraged to take photos and enjoy the holiday spirit.

Participating is simple:
• Register your business
• Collect non-perishable food donations
• Have everything ready for pickup on December 18
