Kurtis Kopp
Tonight, we are proud to honour Kurtis Kopp as a recipient of the KingCharles III Medal for Volunteer Service.
Kurtis is a true friend of the Battlefords District Food & Resource Centre, someone who shares his talents, his time, and his heart with our community in so many ways.
If you’ve ever walked past our building and admired the beautiful artwork on our front display window, you’ve already seen Kurtis’s creative spirit in action. His artistic touch has not only made our food bank more welcoming it’s helped us tell our story and draw the community in.
But Kurtis’s contributions go far beyond his paintbrush. He’s also thekind of person who jumps on the food bank truck when needed, lending ahand with pickups, deliveries, and anything else that needs doing. Alwaysfriendly, always approachable, Kurtis is the kind of volunteer who makeseveryone around him feel at ease.
He’s also a vocal advocate for our food bank, proudly sharing ourmission and encouraging others to get involved.
And somehow—he does all of this above and beyond his true passion in life… drumming. Yes, the rhythm of his heart beats to his own drum, but he’s never missed a beat when it comes to supporting our community.
Kurtis, we are so thankful for you.
Your creativity, your kindness, your willingness to jump in wherever you’re needed, it all makes our food bank stronger, more vibrant, and more connected.
