Celebrating Jackie Etcheverry – King Charles III Medal Honouree
Jackie has been a constant source of warmth, kindness, and steady support at the Battlefords District Food & Resource Centre. After retiring from her teaching career, she could have taken a well-deserved rest—but instead, she chose to keep giving back to her community.
For years, Jackie has greeted every person who walks through our doors with a friendly smile and a genuinely warm welcome. She is often the first face our clients see—and what a gift that is. Her kindness puts people at ease in moments that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Jackie is just one of our dedicated food bank volunteers—cheerfully handing out hampers, answering questions, and making sure no one leaves without feeling seen and cared for. Behind the scenes, Jackie takes care of one of our most precious spaces—our baby area—lovingly sorting baby items and ensuring that our youngest clients and their families are supported with dignity.
Her compassion, consistency, and welcoming presence have made a lasting impact on our organization and on everyone she meets.
Jackie, we are deeply thankful for you.
Your years of service, your beautiful spirit, and your gentle leadership havehelped build the caring community we are so proud of today.
